Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Uttar Pradesh president Swatantra Dev Singh has tested positive for coronavirus. Swatantra Dev Singh informed on Twitter that he got himself tested for coronavirus after developing mild symptoms and his test result came in positive.
He also requested all those who have come in contact with him recently to go under quarantine and get themselves tested for coronavirus if required.
“I was seeing initial symptoms of coronavirus, after which I got my Covid-19 test done. My report has been found positive. I request all the people who come in contact with me to quarantine themselves as per the guidelines and get them tested if required,” Swatantra Dev Singh said on Twitter.

Singh said that he is currently home quarantined at his residence and appealed to the people to strictly follow the guidelines of the government.

Singh’s announcement of his Covid-19 report came moments after Amit Shah informed that he had tested positive for coronavirus.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Minister for Technical Education Kamal Rani Varun on Sunday succumbed to Covid-19 infection at a hospital in Lucknow.
Kamal Rani, the first minister in Uttar Pradesh to die after contracting coronavirus, was 62. Doctors said she had co-morbidities, including diabetes, hypertension and hyperthyroidism.
