PESHAWAR:
Prime Minister Imran Khan is to be visiting Peshawar and Nowshera today (Wednesday) to inaugurate the Hayatabad Sports Complex’s renovation project and Institute of Cardiology, announced the Prime Minister’s Office.
The sports complex was being upgraded for the sixth edition of The Pakistan Super League (PSL), costing about Rs994 million and is likely to be completed by June 2021.
The stadium would have the capacity of 6,000 outdoor and 1,000 indoor seats. It would also include spacious car parking, world-class main pavilion, digital scoreboard and other public amenities along with public health facilities.

An international standard gym had also been set up at the sports complex, at a cost of Rs100 million, 70 per cent work on which had been completed.
Construction work on a ‘world-class’ swimming pool, costing Rs88 million, in the sports complex was also in full swing.

PM Imran would also presided over a cheque distribution ceremony under the Kamyab Jawan Program.
He would also inaugurate housing flats in Jalozai, Nowshera and also give away allotment letters.
Earlier, it was reported that with the Arbab Niaz cricket stadium reconstruction facing delays, the cricket stadium at the Hayatabad Sports Complex may be ready to host matches of the upcoming edition of the PSL, in February 2021.
